Location: 1600 Main Street Anderson, Indiana

The Assembly Float is a hands-on support position that works closely with our Quality Control Lead and Assembly Manager. You’ll help ensure the materials we receive—and the products we ship—meet FabACab’s high standards. You’ll float between panel assembly, quality control, and packaging/crating, depending on what’s needed most that day.

This is a great fit for someone who’s detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn new tasks. You’ll play a key role in keeping our shop productive, our shipments safe, and our customers happy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with bracketing panels—making sure each one is built with precision and care
• Perform quality control checks on incoming materials and outgoing laminate using ClickUp and GoCanvas software
• Handle packaging and crating of finished products
• Jump in to support the assembly team during high-volume periods
• Perform final quality inspections before shipments leave the building
• Represent FabACab to vendors, suppliers, and shipping contacts in a professional manner
• Attend weekly team huddles and participate in quarterly KPI meetings
• Share feedback and suggest process improvements to help the team work more efficiently

What We’re Looking For:

• Comfortable working with hand tools and physical tasks
• Focused on craftsmanship, teamwork, and safety
• Able to switch tasks easily and follow directions from multiple leads
• Solid communication skills and attention to detail
• Experience in assembly or manufacturing is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person
